Not a joiner or a group person, but want to learn yoga? Not getting enough attention in your group class? This can be for a one on one individualized session or a private session with your family, friends or co-workers. Have a yoga birthday party or bachelorette party! Or relax and try Thai Yoga, which is like having yoga done to you.
Reasons to Consider Private Yoga Sessions
You are brand new to yoga. Would you like to join a yoga studio or attend yoga classes at your gym but are just too shy to jump in? Private sessions are an excellent way to begin your own yoga practice. Develop your confidence by learning the fundamentals of yoga at your own pace. Ask questions when you like, take your time learning the poses, rest when you need to, and receive the individualized attention that you may not feel comfortable asking for in a group setting.
You would like to deepen or strengthen your practice. Perhaps you are interested in understanding more about the ancient and broad teachings of Yoga. Adding practices such as pranayama (breath work) or meditation to your practice.
You would like to develop a home practice. You may be a beginner or experienced yogi who understands the benefits of a daily practice, but would like assistance developing one. Together we can create your own practice, working on your areas of interest such as sequencing, pranayama, meditation and/or the philosophical aspects of yoga.
You have been away from yoga for a while. You’ve had an active practice in the past but are just getting back into yoga, perhaps due to an illness or injury. Private sessions can allow us to reintegrate your body back into your practice while taking special care of your physical or emotional needs. Example: Yoga for low back.
You have injuries (back, shoulder) or health concerns. (women's issues, stress, arthritis, chronic headaches, insomnia)
You want to work toward a specific goal such as increased flexibility, balance, or strength; target problem areas like tight hips or hamstrings, or increase your mental focus in a particular sport or activity
Thai Yoga also available. Thai Yoga is a passive assisted yoga. Its like having yoga done to you.
I so enjoyed my one on one sessions of meditation and yoga. I had Val all to myself and the peace and quiet and total attention to me and what I needed to learn and see and understand was more helpful. Val has a quiet soothing way of teaching both meditation and yoga. I learned so much from Val and still practice it today. Val's total concentration was just on me and what I needed to hear and learn that day. Thank you for all the time spent with me. Pat L. Reno,NV |
